Covid-19 restrictions might be making it difficult to see your Mum/Carer/Granny in person, but that doesn’t mean Mother’s day can’t be special. So if you’re looking for ways to thank her for all that she does for you, then read on!
1. Breakfast in bed
If you live with your Mum, surprise her by making her breakfast in bed! Whether your Mum is partial to a bacon roll, eggs, cereal, or breakfast muffins, all you need to do is pop it on a tray with your card! Don’t forget some freshly squeezed orange juice or a piping hot cup of coffee!
2. Online yoga or spa day
If like most of us, your Mum has been feeling stressed and anxious because of lockdown, why not do something together that will get you feeling zen? Sharing an online Mother’s day yoga class together could be a great way to bond and get the endorphins flowing! Then enjoy some R&R with facemasks and massages – the Face Gym even offer some online sessions.
3. Cook a meal
Why not treat your Mum by cooking her favourite meal or organising a delicious afternoon tea to be dropped off? Maybe there’s a go-to dish you know your Mum will love. Or, if you’re looking for ideas, then how about the feta pasta recipe that’s causing a stir on Tik Tok?
4. Take in some fresh air
Social distancing measures will allow us to meet another person outdoors by Mother’s day if you live local, so if it’s nice weather why not take the opportunity to go for a stroll? You could even take your afternoon tea with you – don’t forget a bottle of Macb for hydration ???? (Please check covid restrictions)
5. Make a Photobook
Do you want to give your Mum a gift that’s extra personal? Take the photos you’ve got on your phone of you and your Mum, print them out, and turn them into a photobook! Enjoy looking through them together and reminiscing about the good old days. Services like Papier make this easy.
