Bored waiting for the summer? No sweat. Here at Macb, we don’t do boring, we do bold (that’s why our refreshing water is packed with fruity flavours). And we don’t want you to be bored either, so we’ve pulled together a list of some fun family days out to keep you, and the kids entertained, until the start of the summer holidays. Grab a bunch of bottles of your fave flavour of Macb and head out to check out one – or more – of these upcoming events.
1. A big day out for little bookworms
Wee Write Family Day – Glasgow – 3 June
An event filled day of book-based goodness featuring everyone from Dennis the Menace to the Book Bug – and load more characters, writers, and storytellers. Perfect for wee readers and baby book lovers.
2. Best foot forward
Kiltwalk– Aberdeen – 4 June
Head along to show your support for the walkers or grab your most sensible shoes and sign-up and raise some money for your fave charity. We’re proud to be one of Kiltwalk’s sponsors this year. So you’ll see team Macb handing out lots of your fave flavours and you can even play our popular Spin to Win game!
There are also Kiltwalks in Edinburgh and Dundee later in the year.
3. Up for a right good scran?
The Great British Food Festival – Dalkeith, Edinburgh – 10-11 June
If you love Macb then you must have pretty top-notch taste buds. So maybe The Great British Food Festival will be right up your street! From various food stalls, competitions, activities and stalls, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. You can even bring your 4-legged friend along – result!
4. Don’t be sheep-ish…
The Royal Highland Show – Ingliston, Edinburgh – 22-25 June
Grab your wellies and head over to Ingliston to meet loads of awesome animals, enjoy some Scottish scran from local producers, watch loads of different things from show jumping to axe throwing, and even cheer on the speediest sheep shearers around.
5. Fun ahoy!
The Scottish Traditional Boat Festival – Portsoy – 30 June – 2 July
If all things seafaring float your boat, this one’s for you! Loads of boats and some fab food and drink are among the main attractions at this celebration of the region’s maritime heritage.
6. Popcorn worthy viewing
Local Hero Festival – Banff, Aberdeen – 6-28 May
Head up north to the Local Hero Festival where you can not only watch a classic movie set in Aberdeen but also get involved with a whole host of fun activities going on throughout the month of May. Macb are proud sponsors of the festival this year, so you’ll be able to sip on your fave flavour while enjoying the festivities.
