Bold Support for Brilliant Communities
Our Live Bold Community Fund donated £6,000 across six organisations throughout Scotland in 2026, helping local communities enjoy healthier, happier lives.
We selected a range of six fantastic organisations: Grey Matters Active Ageing, East Glasgow Music School, Lewis Shinty Club, Halfpenny Farm Animal Sanctuary, Creative Smiles Collection and Ayrshire Deaf Club. Here’s how they put their funding to good use.
Grey Matters Active Ageing, a club for older people in Helensburgh, took 50 members on a day trip to Loch Katrine and Callander. “The Macb funding gave our members the opportunity to enjoy a fantastic day out. Members enjoyed the cruise and, of course, their Macb Water. It was a brilliant day that brought our community together.” – Alison Gildae, founder.
East Glasgow Music School welcomes more than 100 attendees each week. Its funding helped buy advanced musical equipment to support their musical training.

Lewis Shinty Club used its funding to buy new helmets and equipment, helping players stay safe and perform at their best.
Ayrshire Deaf Club began as a youth club for deaf teenagers and now welcomes all ages. Its funding helped bring adults and children together for an end-of-term party, complete with a barbecue and party games.
Creative Smiles Collection, a children’s craft group, stocked up on easels, paintbrushes and paint sets, giving young artists the materials they need to get creative in class.
Halfpenny Farm Animal Sanctuary in Aberdeen provides a safe home for animals at risk, with dedicated volunteers caring for its rescued residents. Funding from Macb helped the charity buy gardening tools and polytunnel equipment to grow fruit and vegetables, both to feed the animals and to sell locally to raise ongoing funds for the sanctuary.
Jamie Burnett, Macb Interim Brand Manager, said: “We are proud to support organisations that have real impact in their communities and once again our Live Bold Fund recipients of 2026 have really inspired us. We care deeply about the people in the communities where we want to give back and make a positive difference.”
From bringing people together to supporting creativity, sport and animal care, these organisations make a real difference in their communities. That’s what it means to Live Bold.
Applications for the 2027 Live Bold Community Fund are now open on our website. If your organisation (or one you know) is making a real difference in its community, we’d love to hear from you.
